Etna Wine Day is aimed at those who want to discover the naturalistic-volcanological and enogastronomic side of the volcano.
-What does the service provide?
There will be a transfer from Milo or from a place to be agreed upon - with a comfortable 9-seater minibus authorised to transport passengers - to the starting point of the trek.
The morning will be dedicated to discovering the Sartorius side craters. These eruptive apparatuses are a magnificent manifestation of the power and uniqueness of Etna volcano. There are some 250 unique and unrepeatable craters.
Mount Etna is an active volcano, the highest of the European volcanoes, and has been a Regional Park since 1987.
In addition, since 2013 it has been recognised by Unesco as a World Heritage Site, and has become one of the four Unesco nature sites in Italy.
Your Environmental Hiking Guide will tell you about the geology, history, myths and culture of the place. After the trek, your guide will lead you inside a volcanic cave.
Afterwards, we will make a stop at a wine cellar on Mount Etna, where there will be plenty of time to taste four local wines, accompanied by various typical local products. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to visit the vineyards and the wine cellar, all in total relaxation.
At the end of this visit, you will be accompanied by a comfortable minibus to the agreed location.
"Etna Wine Day is the right opportunity to enjoy good wine and relax at the foot of the volcano."
